About Robert

50+ weddingsNew York City

Born in the U.S. to Italian immigrant parents, Robert grew up in Italy before returning to study at the prestigious Rochester Institute of Technology, where he earned a BFA in Commercial Photography. He built his career working alongside acclaimed photographers Deborah Turbeville, Mary Ellen Mark, and Brigitte Lacombe, and has shot for clients including The New York Times, Italian Vogue, Henry Winston, and Maserati USA. Robert brings this world-class editorial eye to wedding photography, enjoying the great variety of styles each celebration demands — from still lifes and portraiture to architectural and fashion. He firmly believes that while quality photography is essential, the trust and genuine connection between photographer and couple is what truly makes the difference.

Planning questions

Frequently asked questions

What if this photographer is unavailable after our consult?

If a date changes or the fit is not right, the studio helps you compare nearby options instead of sending you back to search from scratch.

What happens if there is an emergency?

Double Knot is a managed studio, not just a directory. We keep the plan, timeline, and preferences on our side so backup coverage can step in if an emergency affects your assigned team.

How do we know the style is the right fit?

We look at full galleries, lighting, venue type, pacing, and editing style during the consult. If your inspiration points somewhere else, we will say so and recommend a better match.

Can we add an additional shooter?

Yes. An additional shooter can help with separate getting-ready locations, ceremony reactions, guest candids, and moments happening at the same time.

Why is there a 25% deposit?

The 25% deposit reserves the date, confirms the selected team, and lets the studio begin managing the production plan around your timeline.

Can we change hours or add-ons later?

Yes. Hours, add-ons, and second-shooter needs can be adjusted as the timeline becomes clearer. We will update the quote before anything changes.
