Christian is an Austin native with a passion for capturing life's biggest and smallest moments. Interestingly, she comes from a filmmaking background, having studied at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and in Berlin, Germany. She also had the pleasure of working with both Rooster Teeth Productions and Austin Film Festival in her hometown of Austin, Texas.
When she's not behind the lens, Christian can be found traveling, watching movies, or hanging out with her German rabbit, Bun. During her time studying film, her concentration was in documentary filmmaking. She tries to apply her love of the documentary style to her weddings, placing emphasis on candid and emotional moments. Christian believes that each couple is special, and she thrives in capturing the unique partnership and energy between them. She firmly believes that while couples can take inspiration from Pinterest and others' wedding photos, it's ultimately so fun to see what comes naturally to each couple and being able to capture it forever. That being said, she's there to guide with posing and it's always her goal to make sure her clients look and feel their best.
Christian's main priority with capturing a wedding is ensuring she has successfully and artfully recorded the moods, emotions, and energy of the day. From a rainy wedding day with lots of happy tears to a summer wedding with lots of dancing, she finds that each wedding day is vastly different and beautiful every time.
She would describe her photography style as photojournalistic. When it comes to interacting with clients, Christian understands that most people aren't comfortable with being in front of a big, scary lens. She's a huge fan of giving prompts to her couples, with the occasional posture or posing correction so that they're looking their best while still staying true to what feels comfortable for them. Even though she arrives at a wedding as a stranger and a vendor, it's her goal to leave that wedding as something like a friend.
